Here We Go Loopty Loo

Two years ago, I re-discovered the inner crocheter in me, with the help of my mother in law, who is the master crocheter herself. She lent me her crochet hook and patterns book, and gave me a skein of yarn… that was the beginning of my crochet frenzy. I crocheted day and night, every chance I could, and created one project after another. I made lots of pretty things, like scarves and beanies, and gave them to people. Eventually, the teaching job became too demanding, and the inevitable happened — scarves and beanies were replaced by tank tops and flip-flops. So it only made sense to put the hobby to a halt, at least temporarily. However, the urge to crochet is just too strong to resist, and ever since fall of last year, in between baking and lesson planning, I have been crocheting relentlessly.

Yup, I am a confessed crochet addict.

Here’s one of the many projects I made in 2010, which happens to be one of my favorites… my first fingerless gloves. I used a sock yarn for this project. I must say, they came out pretty good.

They keep my hands warm, while I play Pocket Frogs.

If you’re interested in my pattern, leave me a message or send me an email, and I will be more than willing to share it with you. However, you should know, this pair was specifically tailored to fit my short and stubby fingers.
