Winter is Upon Us

Oh my, I have totally neglected my blog. (For the nth time, hah!) What a shame. Work has been crazy. (It will remain that way; however, work is good, so I’m not complaining.) Good thing I have winter break. Time for some catching up and fun stuff.

Oh winter, I hate your weather as much as I love how it allows me to wear my tights and woolens.

Speak of woolens — here are some projects that I worked/have been working on:

Cabled scarf and beanie for a little girl

Since my last post, I have been working on the cabled scarf and beanie - gifts for a friend’s daughter that are long overdue. They’re traveling across the oceans, all the way to the other side of the world. I just finished blocking them, and they’re ready to go. I’m really proud of these guys, as they’re my first cabled knits. I hope they will be loved.

Calligraphy Cardigan

Another project I have been trying to finish is the Calligraphy Cardigan. I’m knitting it in Steam Age. I love, love, looove Madelinetosh Tosh DK! The stitch definition and the colors are nothing short of amazing. It’s a really wonderful yarn to work with. I can’t wait to finish this cardigan. I’m shooting for spring, considering all the knitting I’ve to finish for Christmas presents.

Ribbed socks

Socks. This year I decided Christmas presents will be socks. Who doesn’t love socks?! HAND. KNIT. SOCKS. Dude, that’s some serious love, you know what I’m saying? Hand-made gifts are warm fuzzies.

What kind of hand-made presents are you giving your loved ones this Christmas?
